In Focus Series and Volunteer Match Program
PROPEL is offering a business the opportunity to be the presenting sponsor for PROPEL’s In Focus Series. The business will receive ongoing exposure to both traditional/social media outlets and a group of high-achieving young professionals. The Volunteer Match Program will allow the fiscal contribution of a business to be based on measurable results, e.g. how many people did PROPEL’s event convince to engage more with the community?
What Are The In Focus Series And Volunteer Match Program?
The In Focus Series originated through a grant funded by the Maine Development Foundation (MDF) in 2015. The series consists of 6 events annually, each focused on exhibiting the mission and opportunities at a nonprofit.
The goal of the series is to present young people with opportunities to get involved in their community beyond sporadic volunteering. The series is intended to help young people make community engagement part of their professional development plans. In 2016 the Volunteer Match Program and Community Engagement Team were created to further that mission by pairing young professionals with local nonprofits to offer ongoing consultant level services for free.
Sponsor An In Focus Event:
There are various ways to sponsor an In Focus event. Businesses can sponsor an event by making a single donation to cover specific expenses such as venue costs, food, or beverages; or there is the option to sponsor individual volunteer matches by giving $100 per individual that signs up to participate in PROPEL's Volunteer Match Program.
