PROPEL is a group of young professionals, living and working in Portland and the surrounding areas.

We create social and business networking opportunities that help establish ourselves as vital elements in southern Maine’s prosperous future.

PROPEL is affiliated with Portland Regional Chamber as an independent network. Decisions are made within PROPEL’s executive board, which encourages member input. The Chamber is the administrator of our dues and maintains our membership list.

PROPEL began in 2006 as a collaborative effort between a small group of Portland’s young professionals and Portland Regional Chamber. The mission was to cultivate and foster the interests and careers of young professionals in the Portland area. Over time, an executive board committee was created and PROPEL was born.
