About entreverge

On a daily basis, greater Portland’s entrepreneurs innovate, work hard and work together strengthening the local business community and the economy in Maine. Since 2009, PROPEL has produced entreverge, our signature event, to recognize the local entrepreneurs whose businesses exhibit a scalable vision for the future and a long term commitment to the people, place and prosperity of Maine. entreverge supports the mission of PROPEL by connecting entrepreneurs and PROPEL members with the resources and people who will help them reach their greatest professional potential.

At our annual entreverge awards event, five winners receive an entreverge awards package designed to connect the winners with free or discounted services to help develop and grow their businesses. Businesses are nominated for an entreverge award by clients, colleagues or friends in an open nominations process. Nominees are then invited to complete an application for review by the selection committee.

Every year, hundreds of members of Greater Portland’s business community join us for the entreverge awards. Winners are revealed at the event and presented with their prize package. The awards portion of the evening lasts about 45 minutes and the remainder of the evening, in PROPEL style, is dedicated to networking and fun.

“As a small but growing company trying to build web sites with high standards for usability and accessibility, it’s fantastic for Pemaquid to be recognized by entreverge, an organization dedicated to promoting innovation here in Portland. I’ve been able to build a terrific network of advisors who will continue to support my business, and we’ve benefited tremendously from the increased awareness of what we’re all about. entreverge is a great thing for Portland. It’s a sign that this city cares about supporting great ideas and connecting people who are trying to solve problems creatively.” — Rob Landry, Pemaquid Communications
