Action items:

At your next networking event, when you find yourself in a group conversation, observe the dynamics in the group. Take note of any social bonds formed between the group-what connects each member of the conversation? Notice any individual differences and what makes each person unique to the group. What is the context of the conversation? Notice if there is any disagreement or awkward silence and what moves the group beyond that point. Do this in at least two group conversations that you have where 3 or more people are engaged in conversation

Recall what you noticed in regard to group dynamics. Were there any conversations that sparked any memorable dialogue? What about the conversation, based on the team dynamics, do you think made the conversation interesting, extending beyond just the content of the conversation?
