Join PROPEL and the Portland Museum of Art Contemporaries on September 29, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm for an evening of art, networking, and food and drink. The Contemporaries are the young members group of the PMA and have joined forces with PROPEL for this special event.

A portion of the first floor will be open for the evening, including the gallery space for rotating shows and the museum store. The lower level will be open and the cafe will be serving beer and wine. There will be food and drink vendors providing free samples. This event is free to PROPEL and Chamber members.

Mandy Schumaker of Higher Performing People will offer her insight on “When Generations Collide: Managing the Differences of Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation Xers and Millenials in the Workplace.” This session will offer a better understanding and appreciation of each generation and how they act and think. It will include ideas on how to motivate and retain great employees from all generations, as well as offer insight into how to constructively work with individuals from among the various generations.
